Quest For Myself

Calmness during intensity

Posted on November 21, 2025 By Matthew

Are you someone that can stay calm when the going gets rough, or do you find yourself getting flustered?

Personally I am almost too calm most of the time. People seem to perceive it as meaning I don’t care, but I see it differently. I don’t think it’s because I don’t care, but more so that I am just ok with whatever is happening. I understand that being flustered isn’t going to be beneficial so I use that energy instead to concentrate and look for a solution.

While this can be good in a high stress situation, like say during a robbery if you want to get extreme. But this isn’t always as good in say an argument with a loved one–during a time when they are expecting and maybe even possibly wanting to see your emotion…I still keep mine bottled within.

I really don’t have too much to add onto this post, but not everything needs to be deeply thought out I don’t think. Just being able to put this out there, feeling that bit of catharsis of letting it out.

Maybe I’ll add on later, but for now this is all I have to say.

Try to be more aware of your emotions, and maybe you’ll be more connected to yourself.

And remember, no matter how dark the night may get, the sun will rise again.

Take care
